[ Hob looks a little wary for a moment. Oh God, what if Loki were actually betrothed or something to another god back home? Or he was destined to be with someone specific? No, Loki would mention that, Hob thinks. ]

[ It takes Hob a few moments to realize what Dream means, but when it dawns on him, there's some sorrow in Hob's eyes, heavy enough that he looks away. ]

[ Hob is surprised the touch, meant to comfort, he thinks, even if it's a bit awkward coming from Dream. He appreciates the gesture, though, and lifts his hand to place it on top of Dream's on his shoulder. ]

I admit to being upset when I heard of it, but circumstances are different now. I have to believe that counts for something.

[ Hob understands the reservation. He does feel some himself, even if he puts on a front of optimism. And he knows Dream isn't the type to suggest everything is going to be fine unless he knows it will be, but they don't know that, not for certain. ]

I'm sure a lot of people are seeing this as a second chance.

[ Hob still wants to go home, of course, but perhaps he can help Loki at the same time. Which reminds Hob...]
