No. Nor could she. There is no oracle, seer, or witch that can tell of my family.

My point is that no one is able to scry information about the Endless.

[ No one can scry information about the Endless, but Hob thinks Vanessa might be able to do so for anyone else. There's a look of hesitation on his face. ]

I'm sure her ability to read cards is unmatched, but.. do you think she would be offended if I declined?

[ he looks lightly surprised at that, his eyebrows rising slightly. ]

You are hesitant of her abilities?

I don't know what those abilities are, Dream.

[ Sure, Hob doesn't know the full extent of Dream's abilities, either, but Hob would not hesitate to place his trust in Dream. The circumstances were different, though. ]

[ he doesn't sound too worried about it though. ]

[ Hob thinks Dream's personal feelings may have something to do with that. Plus, given his astronomical power, what would he have to fear? ]

I just think it's better if I don't learn too much about things before they happen.

That is true...

[ Hob doesn't know what the cards might say. Perhaps they'll say nothing of the future at all, but instead, lay his whole self out on the table. It just feels like too much. Very likely, he's being silly and it's just a game meant for amusement, anyway. ]

[ The nerves in his voice reveal his feelings, though, at least for now. ]

[ All that, and he didn't actually find out if Vanessa might be insulted by his refusal to accept her offer. Hob also can't help but wonder if Dream is disappointed, as well.

A frown and Hob reaches for his coffee, which may be cold by now, but he'll still drink it. ]

Oh, Loki got one of those tickets as well. He probably knows more about seers and the like.

[ wait. why a frown? Dream frowns a little as well, watching Hob closely. ]

I would suspect that he does, having been raised around magic.

[ For a being who doesn't often show a lot of emotion, Dream always seems so perceptive of his. Maybe because Dream is always watching so intently.

Hob notices the stare and it makes him smile a little. To others, that intense look might be intimidating, but Hob is just used to it. ]

Then maybe he'll take her up on her offer.

[ his scrutiny continues for another moment, but Hob's smile seems to ease any misgivings he has. ]

If he does, perhaps she would allow you to watch.

Perhaps. But I understand if it's too private.

[ That's what has Hob so hesitant. Not that his reading would be on display to others, but it would still be on display to Vanessa herself. ]

I'm sure Loki would tell me about it after. So far, he's been very open with me.

[ Hob clearly appreciates that. ]
