...And doing what?

Handling it!

No wonder Vergilius has little faith in you. ( wow? anyway, the merry-go-round— ) Why do you like the carousel so much?
no subject
[ stepping in(to the booths) and handling it (the games) ]
And is it not obvious?! [ no ] The horsies!!!
no subject
The... horsies.

[ ...........
probably!!!!!!!!!! ]

( cool. she hasn't interacted personally with one, ever. are they really so brave and valiant. )

[ ...
her boots!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ]
They are large, larger than one may think! And warm as well -- they can be somewhat shy, but that is because they do not wish to harm those beneath them. Gentle, gentle beasts.
[ or so she's read, more likely... ]

I wonder if that type of thing can actually exist in the City. ( girl who has only ever known violence ♥ well, some of the abnormalities were fine, even when they escaped containment... maybe it isn't so far-fetched to think there are animals on the outside that are nice too .) Are you certain they're large and it's not simply that you're...
( ...
angela looks down at her. small. )

[ peers up at her curiously. ]
no subject
( she won't hesitate. )

[ her and sinclair both... have time to grow... ]
no subject
( and despite malkuth's FUCKING PERSONALITY!!! she is not a child. )
Give up on growing though, Don Quixote. You're too old for that kind of nonsense.
no subject
[ stubborn on this. maybe like, an inch or two, not the many she's hoping for. ]
Meanwhile, everyone else is simply overgrown. What use does one have for such height? To smack their heads upon the door? I laugh at thee! Nay, I have nothing to fear from such structures -- we are friends, that is for certain!
[ ...
wings she wishes she didn't have to crane her neck to look up at anyone she knows this is why sinclair is her favorite ]

( just saying. she's really not that much taller than don quixote, but still-- )
But if you're too short, you won't be able to ride some of these... ( a meaningful look at the rollercoaster. ) Going by the ruler, that is.
( ...it really is a little easier to talk like this with people she didn't spend an eternity with. she should figure out a way to feel less awkward with yesod and the rest, despite the recent work party crimes (embarrassing her by pointing out she's recently been nicer). )
no subject
I shan't let it stop me. I will ride whatever I should like, and if I die -- I am no stranger to it, even here.
[ don quixote's second shot at traumatizing the whole city ]
no subject
( ...but? )
Explain, however.
no subject
[ yeah ]
no subject
How? Why? ... And you didn't stay dead?
no subject
[ ... wait move on -- ]
A young man whom I befriended after the incident fought me to the death after I issued the challenge for it, since I had wanted to make sure of the consequences for myself! That is how and why. I knew before that I would return, for another had said the same, and unfortunately I knew beyond a doubt that what she spoke was true.
[ don't linger on the first okay ]

There's nothing wrong with confirming information, so fine. ( passed. she too worked with scientists so-- ) As for your first statement-- my librarians are the same way back home, but that is due to The Library.
( well, due to her, but-- )
What is your excuse?
no subject
[ not a dissimilar situation. ]
no subject
I see. Alright. ( not pressing it will either make her happy or nervous, and both are fine with angela. ) What were the consequences of dying here?
( she was threatened recently so it would be swell to know what would've happened if that came to pass-- )
no subject
For the one who has died, they have no memory of their death, nor of some parts that led to it -- they do not recall who did it, so unless there is careful documentation the victim shall never know. For the one who enacted, there are separate consequences, and even those that bear witness to the event have repercussions as well...
[ which she still feels guilty about, because althea had warned her and she didn't take it to heart -- but how were they to know, when the city (theirs) didn't have appropriate punishment save revenge? ]
It differs not if it be a fair fight nor if it an unwilling death; murder is murder.
no subject
...
no, who would have killed her? certainly she could think of roland, but they hadn't met her first day here. it was later they reunited, she's fairly certain...? )
I see. A city that punishes those who choose violence as a way to solve their problems, is it? ( what a difference. ) I wonder if this is the type of world they wanted.
( ... )
Was your friend alright? The one you fought.
