WHAT: Sumeru crew have a little huddle.
WHERE: Some little cafe with outdoor tables.
WHEN: Early July
WARNINGS: N/A

[It's been a couple days for them all to try and orient themselves in this situation. And, given it's already a strange situation, it might as well just get stranger when Alhaitham is the one who makes a decision that they need a gathering between the four of them that already know each other and have the same place to get back to.

In the morning, he scouts nearby blocks until he finds a small cafe, empty as every other place is but with small tables outside which are a suitable meeting space. Also, maybe he can take some coffee bags to go.

Then, he sends a message to Tighnari and Cyno:]

You're not busy this afternoon, right? [Trick question none of them are busy.] Come meet with Kaveh and I around 1 pm. We should establish a routine with each other and share what information we've found.

[And he'll send along the location, and a photo of the cafe front. Just in case.

Kaveh gets less warning, because Alhaitham decides to just tell him in person when he catches him: they're meeting with Cyno and Tighnari (did he know they were here? Well, anyway,). They'll walk there together. Alhaitham brings one of those blank books and a pen, because he's sure he'll want notes.

And slides into one of the cafe seats, just a bit before the designated hour.]

[ Oh they are all experts in their own fields, to be sure. Tighnari has yet to gather supplies he'll need to start picking apart flora and soil samples. Not that he'll find anything

Kaveh says what Tighnari is thinking though. Things that are innate are kept. Anything that seems gifted or additionally granted may be diminished or taken away entirely. ]

Which would also imply that they have a vast knowledge of laws and principles of other worlds and what can or will be able to have an affect on this one.

[ kaveh's eyes light up. ]

Oh, that's a fascinating point, and brings us down yet another trail of thought entirely. How would whoever designed this place have that sort of intimate knowledge? Could they be a world traveller? Like the one that we know? [ granted, their traveller is much beloved - kaveh couldn't imagine them doing anything like this, but they also couldn't be the only one out there in the universe. logistics and probability aside, it also seems a bit too lonely. ]

If they understand world laws however, then it makes perfect sense that they would know what underlying factors to tweak. Now, the other question is how they are doing it. And how it seems to even further external factors. Alhaitham and I were considering if Nahida would try to contact any of us through dreams.

[ Tighnari's ears wiggle just a little. Again, thinking along the same lines. No, he doesn't think that the Traveler would do something like this. Their sibling though... Well. Who can say? ]

It's not out of the realm of possibility. Other options are that the force or entity that brought us here exists outside of space and time, much like a continuation of the hierarchy we already know.

[ At least that's a thought. The Archons are still under the gods, after all. So is it really a stretch to think that there might be an authority beyond them? Tighnari doesn't really get into all of this stuff. Seems like the territory of a different Darshan. But it is still something to consider.

He doesn't really have any answers as to how. An Archon might, but only because their knowledge runs considerably deeper when it comes to things of this nature. Now speaking of Nahida - ]

The Dendro Archon might attempt it. However, if our Visions are blocked then it stands to reason that her abilities to reach out to us will also be. There's also something else... If we are not on Teyvat, do we still exist to Teyvat?

[ it's a good question, kaveh thinks, as he leans back in his seat. the sun slants past the brim of the umbrella above them. the ambient light is pale. anemic, in all honesty, if kaveh had to give it some kind of word. the light ought not look like that, at this time of year, with this sort of slant. it's wrong, though that is a terribly weak word to use for it. ]

Tighnari, you are asking a Rtawahist question to a Kshahrewar. It follows that I can only give you a Kshahrewar answer. [ is what kaveh ends up saying, with the light laugh of a man knowing that this is not the crux of the issue. but: it's not as if none of them have ever played with thoughts like these. ] Whether a house is unmoored from its mooring and dragged across Sumeru City to be fit into another mooring does not make it any less the original house. However, the pipes that bring water to the house have been severed, and now new piping must be installed at the new location. The old foundation does not care where its original house has gone. If in this analogy the foundation is Teyvat, our identity as Teyvatians has not changed - but Teyvat may be blind to our existence because we are no longer connected by piping.

That being said - all this hinges on whether we still exist in the Irminsul, doesn't it?
