[While Daniel gave him helpful information, Noah dug into the food. It was so good--and he might have been biased since this was the first thing he'd tasted in seven years, but still--that he almost wanted to cry. He sniffled a bit, but didn't actually burst into tears, at least. He was sure it would have been sort of alarming, anyway.

The idea of taking things without needing to pay felt an awful lot like stealing, but if that was the way things worked here...he guessed it couldn't actually be considered illegal or wrong or anything. ...Though that made him wonder what would happen if someone left an item in exchange for something they took.]
