[The way that Onni touches Nikolai's hands is completely without judgement, without any kind of emotions one way or another about what he's touching. All he wants is to get a feel for the energy of the scars. Still, he can tell that Nikolai is uncomfortable with the touch, so he keeps it light, and quick.

Nikolai's attempt to reproduce Päivätär's name isn't quite right, but Onni doesn't correct him. He just does his magic, leaving himself feeling a little weak, a little worn out, but nowhere near as bad as he's been in the past. He doesn't feel ready to pass out, though he's a little dizzy.

It shows in the slightly unsteady way he moves as he puts the kantele back on his belt and smooths his hands over the front of his sweater.]

Yes, that is my magic. The magic of my people, the Finns. We sing to the gods with runo to ask their assistance with things, or demand it, depending on the situation and the god. The strength of the spell depends on the strength of your luonto, which is a part of the soul.

[He exhales, looking around the room.]

We should bolt in some of these chains, or get them wrapped around you. Have you drunk enough?
