WHO: Yuji Itadori (eyescar) & open
WHAT: October arrival and catch all
WHERE: Around the City in various places
WHEN: October
WARNINGS: Yellow tea (hallucinations, violent reactions) in one prompt; possible spoilers for JJK manga (up to chapter 212)
(So it's as he suspected. He'd had some of that strange tea. But when he studies Yuji, he doesn't notice any cracking or breaking on his body. Perhaps it was one of the other teas?)
Tsurumaru.
(He raises a hand to his chest and bows ever so slightly in casual greeting,)
(Different from the one he had. Do the different teas have different curses attached to them? He can't tell exactly what's wrong with Yuuji though besides the obvious unease around him.)
(He goes quiet and still for a moment. Waiting, listening, trying to see if he can sense anyone else that might be with them... but it feels so still around them. All he can feel is that itch in the back of his mind, that urging to have another drink of tea. Maybe a different flavor. See what might happen. The jasmine tea seems to have a different effect so maybe they all do.
He's curious. He's so curious. He wants to try and--
Ah, he stops himself by crossing his arms into the sleeves of his robe. He digs his nails into his skin and remembers how just a moment ago, he'd felt like he could shatter.)
This city has a way of making most people very ordinary. (He sounds confident when he speaks,) But I'm still quite strong.
What's your name?
(This tea seems to be making this boy nervous. It's best to see if he can get him to calm down enough to come with him to get the antidote.)
[ All Yuji can think is that he needs to turn around and hit; he needs to punch, to make sure that the threat of Sukuna is gone. It makes him feel a thrum of violence he hasn't felt in a long time, the kind he had felt when he had seen Sukuna in his eye, the threat of losing control, the promise of so much more than he can put into words.
He squeezes his eyes shut, focussing on the voice. That guy isn't Sukuna. He doesn't need to hurt him, that would be stupid. He's better than this. He has to be. ]
That doesn't mean I should just hit you! That - it isn't right, you haven't done anything wrong.
[ Yuji's hands squeeze above his thighs, pushing himself. ]
(He says it once to make sure he has it right. It's good to have a name. Names are the first tie to one's identity. It's something that keeps them grounded.)
You're new, aren't you?
(He hasn't seen him around. He'd recognize someone with pink hair, he thinks,)
This city has a way of testing us. (glancing over at the tea cups, feeling that urge in the back of his own head,) The tea here is no good. I could make a much better cup, if you'd like.
[ Yuji closes his eyes, breathes in and out, and slowly turns his body to try and look at the person talking to him. He doesn't recognise him, but he still feels as though Sukuna is watching him, somehow. ]
Is it the tea that's making me feel like this? It's... It's like you're him, and I want to fight, I...
[ Luckily for Tsurumaru, Yuji isn't a violent boy by nature: he doesn't actually want to fight, or hurt anyone. It makes it easier to persuade him, even if he jumpily looks over his shoulder. ]
[ But, unfortunately, Yuji has rather a bad habit of trusting people he's just met to do thing or be around him, so he steps forward - he's not sure if he should take the guy's hand, but he reaches out all the same. ]
... Medicine, right? You're not gonna poison me? Because that doesn't normally work.
[ The touch of skin against his own makes him twitch, just a little, and he jumps as he turns his head to look behind him. The urge to lash out is there, thrumming, but he's forcing himself - ]
(Way to call him out. But now in front of the cabinet, that looks well rummaged through (likely, no thanks to the others who have also gone through it), he begins to look through the drawers for a faded, yellow pack.
[ Yuji hesitates for a moment, before he leans forward and takes the medicine in his hand. It matches the tea he was drinking, doesn't it...? So there's no reason not to...
He glances back up, expression still tense. ]
If this doesn't work, I... I might attack you. It's getting hard to stop.
[ But Yuji takes the medicine, closing his eyes and breathing in and out. He doesn't want to open his eyes, just in case, but the feeling of being watched is prickling away. ]

... I see.
Tell me, what did you have?
no subject
The yellow one?
[ Frowning, Yuji twitches, turning his head the other way. He was sure he saw something, but he takes a deep breath and calms down.
Carefully, he takes a step back and away from the table. ]
I think it was jasmine, or something like that. I'm not good with teas.
[ Identifying them, at least. ]
no subject
Did you not like it?
(He tilts his head curiously to one side,)
You seem unwell.
no subject
[ Gritting his teeth, he shakes his head. ]
He could really hurt you.
no subject

Itadori Yuji.

(His had simply made his skin crack and chip as if he were breaking apart.)
I'm just me. (He has no idea who "him" is but he knows who he is so...) We should get you some medicine.
no subject
[ Luckily for Tsurumaru, Yuji isn't a violent boy by nature: he doesn't actually want to fight, or hurt anyone. It makes it easier to persuade him, even if he jumpily looks over his shoulder. ]
What? Medicine?
no subject
(And he raises a hand to touch his own cheek... which means nothign to Yuji without knowing what he'd been through.)
Medicine. (He nods his head and holds out his hand to Yuji,) Do you trust me, Yuji-kun?
no subject
[ But, unfortunately, Yuji has rather a bad habit of trusting people he's just met to do thing or be around him, so he steps forward - he's not sure if he should take the guy's hand, but he reaches out all the same. ]

Then there's nothing to worry about ,right?
no subject
I don't think that's true.
no subject
Hah! I was trying to be reassuring!
(Way to call him out. But now in front of the cabinet, that looks well rummaged through (likely, no thanks to the others who have also gone through it), he begins to look through the drawers for a faded, yellow pack.
Finding it, he holds it out to Yuji,)
Medicine.
(But they just look like plain seeds inside.)
no subject
He glances back up, expression still tense. ]
If this doesn't work, I... I might attack you. It's getting hard to stop.

You're welcome to try. (Casually,) You don't have to hold back with me.
no subject
[ But Yuji takes the medicine, closing his eyes and breathing in and out. He doesn't want to open his eyes, just in case, but the feeling of being watched is prickling away. ]
I don't want to hurt you.
no subject
(Whenever he does decide to open his eyes, Tsurumaru will be standing there-- totally fine, smiling perfectly, as calm as ever.)
Do you still want to try?
no subject
[ Yuji lifts a hand, rubbing it over his face, then looks over at Tsurumaru again. ]
... Is he gone?
no subject
(He raises his head up high and places his hands on hips,)
Why? Are you hoping to find someone else still?
no subject
[ Unless it's to kill the guy. ]
... Thanks.
no subject
(Can he boop Yuji on the nose because he's going to try...)
You seem better already, Yuji-kun. I'm glad.
(Ah, but there it is. That tingling feeling in his mind, that stirring impulse to see what will happen if he drinks any of the other teas,)
We should go while we can.
no subject
Can people get trapped in these places?
[ He frowns, stepping closer to Tsurumaru. ]
I can help us fight our way out.
no subject
Anyone can be trapped somewhere if they stay still.
(He knows.)
As much as I'd love to fight... we only have to move.
