[That it could be the last one doesn't even cross Alhaitham's mind. This experiment is clearly just ramping up, and nobody wants to waste time and resources for data that can't be used because they quit too early.]

I think that's likely. It would fit the continued pattern of this place. Something always occurs on the 19th.

I'm a fan of predictability.

[Even if the actual contents of what may happen is unknown, this is still something. Not that he's an optimist, but Scott's willing to take whatever 'advantage' they have, especially for survival.]

These other reports aren't related to this, but summarizes experiments from other worlds. Hopefully they don't plan on taking inspiration from them.

Most likely they already have taken inspiration from them, for however much they were looking for. I doubt anything provided here was not vetted by our captors first.

[After all, something seemingly unhelpful can actually end up being an important clue. They're definitely making the unhelpful thing as true as possible.]

Information is rarely given without some ulterior motive by those in control.

[He agrees while shuffling through more of the papers. Scott holds back a sigh, not wanting to show that he's too exhausted by this, but it's never easy reading documents about unethical experimentation. The one with the human girl and a dog was especially grim--]

It's just such a sharp contrast between these extra files and the redacted document. They both involve experimentation, but their methods and even end goals seem widely different.

There are some similar social experiments but the category of these that came from other worlds is very broad. This one for the city is only one of many possible directions. In essence, rather than finding where these fit in the city's experiment, where does the city fit into these?

From what we know, it was centered more on a group experiment, with 'positive' changes of the subjects seemingly the goal. As you mentioned, it sounds more like a social experiment, so we can focus on the files that similarly fit along those lines.

[Scott briefly wonders if this is the right route to take, but it's certainly something to focus on and he's good with that. Easier to concentrate when there's a set task to dedicate yourself to.]

Out of what's been copied here? I don't know. I haven't read through all of these files. But most studies on social behavior aren't very unique.

[It is, ultimately, trying to distill and understand the complex innate. All thinking people's that he's met share enough similarity in behavior that the were likely tested in similar ways.]
