[ Oooh everyone in this room is so very lucky that Midnight is as of yet uncertain as to what is permissible in Kaveh's atelier... If Netzach had pulled that at the apartment, Midnight would have immediately paused all other topics of conversation to experiment with what else Netzach can do with that cheeky little mouth.

ANYWAY. Midnight looks down at Netzach, chewing at his seed a bit, still gamely trying to overwhelm Kaveh with affection and body weight alone. ]

Please tell me you've tried to get him to blink in the past several hours or so. At least since lunch. I want this venue to be open to the public at some point before the end of the year...

[abstractart]

I'm holding him still right now, right? It's kinda working...

[he really just says this like kaveh isn't even here-- but kaveh is busy functioning as his pillow, right now, so what is he really going to do about it.]

Making it rise might be a little much, but I think making it expandable might not be bad.

[fussiest]

I'm right here, Midnight, Netzach. You know I'm here. One of you is using my lap like a pillow, and the other one of you is tempting fate.

[ says kaveh, with some exasperation and no little affection, and not necessarily in that order. finally, because he is kaveh, he turns to kiss midnight's cheek, ending with a reproachful butt of his head. ] Behave. If you've nothing to do, there's a basket of peaches on the table. Peel it and feed some to Netzach. And I know that rising it may be a bit much, but wouldn't it be grand? Just imagine the musicians on stage feeling the expansion of the space. They'll hardly want to perform anywhere else again.

[ In blatant parody, Midnight frowns, covers Kaveh's mouth lightly with his hand, and turns his attention back to Netzach, reaching for a peach with his other hand. So, not so much as tempting fate as he's hooked fate and begun reeling it in. ]

They'd have to find an audience first, and there certainly won't be a better place to find one than the club, at least for now. I'll be there, for one. The stage as it is is lovely, and should serve us well until there's a need for marvels of elevation. Netzach, do you have enough room for a whole peach, or would you like to split it?

[abstractart]

[he just reaches up to pat kaveh's face when he scolds them. yeah. they know. (:

he hums thoughtfully at midnight's question, though. does he...]

Mm... I only want half. Feed the rest to Kaveh.

[ netzach pats his cheek. this is an acceptable platitude. midnight, however, is a disrespectful little shit, and kaveh's eyes narrow in the aftermath of it, much in the way of a shark on bait meant for something far smaller and usually with far less teeth.

anyway, because this is kaveh, he tilts his head. his lips skim the curve of midnight's palm. the gesture is deceptively mild. it simply puts his head at the right angle to bite. his teeth catch along midnight's fingers. the pinch of teeth is just enough to keep midnight's fingers uncomfortably there; the pinch of teeth is just light enough to avoid breaking skin.

for good measure, kaveh chews. he finishes one last set of calculations, and flits for another page. ]

[ Midnight laughs softly, but when his eyes lid, the stare lilts sharp, dark. He lets Kaveh chew, savoring the ache of it, then slips his hand away, replacing it with his mouth. A tender, chaste kiss, saccharine, sarcastic. He licks his lips at the end, then turns his head, tips the bowl until the light shines off the knife inside. ]

Now now, Kaveh. There are kinder ways to ask for what you want.

[ Mock condescending, utter disrespect. He pulls the knife, then takes a seat next to Netzach, and begins peeling the peach, slicing it around the pit. He holds the first slice to Netzach's lips. ]

For you, my love. Open, please.
