INFO MEETING
[In Setsuna's absence but wanting to continue the usefulness of the info-sharing Secret Meetings, Junpei has taken it upon himself to spread the word about the newest physical meeting place. As before, nondescript handwritten flyers are posted around the most heavily trafficked areas of the city (with a scattering more in apartment buildings and less-popular areas), all reading roughly the same thing:

Infosharing time again. Under new management?

Come as you are, buzzkills only allowed if they bring snacks. 2nd floor conference room in the office building across from the bank.

It was cool when Setsuna could leave his mysterious network username but unfortunately Junpei is still living with his fool-ass choices... Regardless. It's dated for the afternoon of the 14th, and on the day of, Junpei has brought paper and writing supplies and a clipboard and a cardboard box for fun later to the conference room.

He's holding the clipboard because it makes him feel important, and occasionally flipping pages to squint at it while people wander in. Eventually:]

Uh, hey—Junpei here. If you were here last time, you know what this is about already, buuut if you weren't: we're planning, more or less. All of our information is spread around, so... this is an effort to get it all in as many heads as possible, when more of us inevitably disappear without a trace overnight.

[Ahem. Okay,] Last time we were also planning some projects, and Setsuna was going to help me make a drone to explore the parts of the city we can't physically get to, but he's gone, so... I'm taking applications for Drone Team?

Oh, nothing much! It asked us to stay a while and watch the butterflies, as it was such a fine day that one should enjoy it -- when we acquiesced, some of the butterflies came with us to aid us in battle.

It was most refreshing, my companion, we did indeed feel rested after such. Oh, but even when we were too busy to stay long, simply being in the presence allowed us to feel a tad better! One of the nicer encounters, that is for certain -- though I would say many Abnormalities are kinder than not, when one speaks to them properly.

And they didn't tear you apart once they found you fraternizing with another Abnormality? How kind. ( many abnormalities are kinder than not, when one speaks to them properly... ) I... suppose I can agree, too. They must be more pleasant to speak with when they aren't stressed.

... Perhaps. But there is rarely an encounter with one that we cannot come out of unscathed or, for our troubles, with something in return. Unless they intend to fight us in the first place, of course. If everyone in the City were to have the same consideration no matter their looks or status, then perhaps...

[ in truth, there's very rarely one that ends with them being hurt no matter what. sometimes nothing happens. sometimes they fight. it's only by their own shortcomings that things become painful, but don sways her head back and forth as she thinks of them.

( given there are rivers of raw cogito that run here and there in their world, primarily the outskirts, and in particular the employees of the limbus company seem to be delving into areas that are affected by something similar to the well's effect—

she's becoming less surprised at the presence of abnormalities she hasn't seen before. come to think of it, there's no guarantee headquarters had had all of them anyway—certainly separate branches must have had their own local ones, though for them not to have any records on them is unthinkable... )

They're very bright. Your name's quite apt, too. ( sunset... very sunset-colored. ) It's probably impossible for our City to have that consideration though—that's just human nature at work. To have judgments of one another, to hold preconception based on where one is from, so on and so forth. Even learning someone was originally from a Nest or from the Backstreets of a certain District is enough to inform one of their character.

( not that angela really gives a shit about any of that. as long as you can work with her, you're fine. )

On an individual scale, it's feasible, but as a whole? ...I wouldn't count on it any time soon, at least.

But it shall be reality, one day! Even if it is not in our lifetime, we can at least continue towards a future we should like to see for those that come after.

I do agree, however! It is most miserable, my companion, and I should let to see them equalized! It is because there is such a divide that hatred is so rampant between each person, because there are prejudices and biased opinions -- my Company, and thy Library, prove that such a divide is meaningless! We are all people, we are all living things, and to act as if we differ any merely because of our birth... it is not right.
