INFO MEETING
[In Setsuna's absence but wanting to continue the usefulness of the info-sharing Secret Meetings, Junpei has taken it upon himself to spread the word about the newest physical meeting place. As before, nondescript handwritten flyers are posted around the most heavily trafficked areas of the city (with a scattering more in apartment buildings and less-popular areas), all reading roughly the same thing:

Infosharing time again. Under new management?

Come as you are, buzzkills only allowed if they bring snacks. 2nd floor conference room in the office building across from the bank.

It was cool when Setsuna could leave his mysterious network username but unfortunately Junpei is still living with his fool-ass choices... Regardless. It's dated for the afternoon of the 14th, and on the day of, Junpei has brought paper and writing supplies and a clipboard and a cardboard box for fun later to the conference room.

He's holding the clipboard because it makes him feel important, and occasionally flipping pages to squint at it while people wander in. Eventually:]

Uh, hey—Junpei here. If you were here last time, you know what this is about already, buuut if you weren't: we're planning, more or less. All of our information is spread around, so... this is an effort to get it all in as many heads as possible, when more of us inevitably disappear without a trace overnight.

[Ahem. Okay,] Last time we were also planning some projects, and Setsuna was going to help me make a drone to explore the parts of the city we can't physically get to, but he's gone, so... I'm taking applications for Drone Team?

art club in a separate building on a different day

ART CLUB!!!!
[Art Club is similarly advertised like the info meeting: handmade flyers around town, Junpei's version and Don's version. The date is set for the day after the other meeting, September 15, in an apartment... that isn't Junpei's, but is like, a few doors down the hall and otherwise unoccupied. (because his place is messy...)

A bigger flyer, poster-size, is stuck on the apartment's door to welcome Art Clubbers.

Inside, Art Club features a plethora of art supplies of varying levels of Fanciness and Complexity, and the promised snacks and beer. And some off-brand Sprite, if you're not into cheap beer. It's a very chill and relaxed hangout-slash-semi-party, primarily for Hanging Out and with less emphasis on the looming horror of how little they really know about this place.

So that's going well!

THIS IS ALSO A MINGLE... mingle within a mingle. Feel free to TL under this if you want to Do Art. Junpei is basic so he's only collected supplies in the realm of markers, nice paper, and some acrylic paints.]

[Well! Hu Tao just got here but she might as well try and make some new friends here, right? While she might not be the best at art, that doesn't mean she won't try her best! That said, as she looked the masterpiece before her, she gave a huge smile as she placed both of her hands on her hips.]

What do you think? I must say, I think I out did myself!

[Nevermind that it was just a simple bunny drawing with some flower and grass. Was she being serious? Who knows....]

That and a friend of mine happened to draw various rabbits in a message to me. I figured that I would try to do the same on paper.

Yes, yes, it is! I have never drawn a rabbit here before so it seems like I am outdoing myself as I did something I have never done!

I'm afraid not. This poor rabbit has yet to have a name and I simply drew it as I saw various rabbit images from a message.

if you are someone she knows, she will be a little more awkward--lingering as she walks about, maybe a touch too long as she tries to figure out what it is they're working on without asking. she may lean a little too much and her sprite may tip a little onto your shirt. yes this is the privilege angela-knowers get-- )

don quixote is just extemely persuasive, which is how angela is now burdened with markers and paper. with basically nothing to do and feeling out of place if she doesn't... use them.... she will draw.

her drawings come in three flavors: little guys, the type of thing children in horror movies draw, and people around the room! pick your flavor i'll draw it myself. )

It could be worse. ( netzach could walk over and compliment her art skills or talk about art therapy or whatever, and she could retaliate by drawing lines on his face with these dumb markers. it could be worse. ) What are you drawing today?

I think I shall draw my companions from home, whilst they are still fresh in my memory. That way, when I talk of them, one can have a visual reference as well.

Specifically, he is perceiving her drawing little guys, all of which are quite charming in their own right. The nice thing about art is that there's no barrier, no level of good or use of particular tools to qualify someone as an artist. All that matters is self-expression and the boundless creativity of the human mind.

Unlike Angela, he looks entirely at ease in the makeshift art club room, a sketchbook tucked underneath one arm. ]

[ Damn, that impression was spot-on. She could make a living doing impressions, if only there were such things as wages in this city. Still, it's enough to get a smile out of him as he ambles over to take a seat across the table. ]

I worked as an animator for a decade. [ You pick up a lot of odd skills here and there after 80-some years of life. ] But it's been awhile since I've had reason to draw anything.

[ Impromptu art club is as good a reason as any. ]

[Having learned nothing from the last time he made a Dang Fool of himself with all those bad Library names, Junpei is here with a cheap beer in hand to lean over and peer at Angela's masterworks. She drew a cool dog last time, so what's this...]

[The choice of which partygoer she drew is in your hands...., Additionally, he holds up in his other hand a lumpy wrapped napkin, wrapped with perhaps one napkin too many so as to avoid getting Art in a snack.]

And I figured you might want a snack sampler again, so... here's a donut. [he brought her. this donut. it's in there somewhere.]

( UGH it's the guy who bitched about her library being named The Library!!!!!!!! Well she has great news for him, she now runs a bookstore named The Bookstore—

anyway, it's... probably don quixote. She's done other people, but Don keeps just Showing Up Looking Expectantly at people so now it's her turn. She's really trying just to do these quickly and not focusing so hard on how they look, sort of... how Netzach drew her, while she was setting things up at her store. )

How surprisingly considerate. ( She's not bitter... Wdym... ) Why don't you guess?

[That was a friendly bitching, in his defense!! Or at least it wasn't a malicious bitching, not important, what's important is he brought her a snack. Please enjoy it, while he seriously considers this doodle.

[ Yesod is not an artist — he can probably draw scientific diagrams and charts to represent quantitative data, exciting... Nevertheless, he is here for reasons of his own, broadening his horizons, and he will perceive art club activities. A part of him might like to see the nice paper arranged into nicer stacks, or the markers and paints sorted into groupings by hue, but he won't intervene.

Instead, he'll pick up a (purple...) marker and a sheet of paper. ]

[ Graphs are... creative... He could offer a variety of types, who doesn't like pie charts and so on. But despite his nerdy soul and perceiving the spots of paint, Yesod contemplates Don's question. Angela has been drawing Abnormalities, while Netzach often paints creatures and abstract patterns... Patterns may be a realistic goal. ]
