[MINGLE, ESPECIALLY TO NEWCOMERS] ROOFTOP FESTIVITIES!!!
WHO: All!
WHAT: Rooftop festivities!
WHERE: On a rooftop of an office building in the second open district!
WHEN: 8/14, evening!
WARNINGS: alcohol, tba as it goes

Banner displayed inside the train station, outside city hall, and on the most used residence buildings.
Follow the arrows.
So you're unaware. Maybe new. Or maybe you just didn't care the first time you saw it. That's fine. Between the banners hanging around key areas, and the flyers quickly drawn up in a similar fashion scattered across the city, it's hard not to know something is going on -- and there's helpful arrows, chalked on building walls and the streets the day of the party, to let people know where to go.
The Rooftop

A splendid scene awaits those who travel heavensward. Fairy lights connect the corners of the roof access building to metal poles at the corners of the building itself, lifted by cylindrical supports where needed, each one held straight by pots filled with well-packed dirty and stone. There's multicolored stars hanging from some of the lights, while various painted flowers hang on others, and what greets the ears first is some royalty free party music played from a CD player off the the side.
There's a long folded out table in the center for those who'd like to share cuisine, just set and serve yourself! Nearby is a space for Daan to do some bartending as well, a man who can make a multitude of cocktails and mocktails for those who want something less alcoholic. Also, pints of various ice cream flavors in a cooler!
Don't worry -- they won't have any odd effects on them, Don verified the lack of them herself. Not all of them are normal. Think loaded baked potato weird.
For those who'd like a quieter space, there's beanbags and a swirly, fuzzy carpet to sit on more away from the center of the party area. This'll be a great time to play some games, such as truth or dare, spin the bottle, and... whatever else you play at parties. Get to know your fellow man and such. Play the violin.
Naturally, no party... hosted... by Don Quixote would be without a space to fight, if one wishes to show off a little! It's also taking place on a swirly fuzzy carpet, just so no one smashes their head in, and there's a neat little banner hanging down from a string of lights that says thus:
WIN THREE MATCHES AND A PRIZE AWAITS THEE!!!!!!!
- NO KILLING
- HANDS ONLY
What the prize is, no one knows. But come find Don Quixote with your battle scars and she'll grant it -- and stick around a while, 'cause this party's gonna end with a bang... that is, with homemade fireworks donated by "a friend" through Junpei.
Anyway, have fun!!! Share words about your worlds!!! The society your characters are from, the cuisine they've brought, how they're working out in the city -- help the new kids along, too. There's more vets here now than there were a few months ago, after all.

I'd like to resubmit this suggestion alongside others, if you agree to it. Could you provide the full list of animals to include?
no subject
Of course! I mind not at all -- it is nice to see a fellow animal lover who should like to see them out and about, for as thee have no doubt noticed, there is a lack of them here.
[ if. he's noticed. probably not if he's been here not long at all, but it's fine. he knows now. ]
I would like to see any, but in particular I am fond of insects, birds, wolves, cats, turtles, and rabbits! The last would be most delightful to see, for the way they hop enchants me...!
no subject
I will outline the zoo's requested features as you envision them.
no subject
[ or can they just shoot the shit she wants to get to know him ]
no subject
...Is there anything else of note that you would share with newcomers?
no subject
There are a few of us whom draw animals upon places of note, the most import being that of a canary -- rounder than one may think -- to denote areas which have threatened us in some way prior. One such example will be found at the bank within the city. I would exercise caution in areas such as these, though... they do not hold any danger presently.
[ she'd visited the bank for a matter earlier, after all. it'd been fine. she hadn't touched her box but it seemed alright. ]
Also, one does not need to worry in regards to food and other supplies here -- they restock as if by magic, [ which doesn't exist sort of, ] though some take longer than others! Ehm, what else... One can take whatever residency they please, so long as another does not inhabit it... I would suggest thee find where others have gathered to roost and do so among them, though I suspect that is already something that thou hath intended.
And! And! Visit the bowling alley at night! It is a most wondrous sight, and I rather enjoy it myself! There are all sorts of snacks and drinks there, but I would advise against the latter -- there is one that tastes like acidic bubbles!
[ ... not quite, but she doesn't know how to explain seltzer. ]
no subject
until Roland makes it happenor experiment with "acidic bubbles," he'll visit the bowling alley as recommended to discover what exactly there is to see at night. ]Thank you. I'll heed your advice, then. But these dangerous areas, such as the bank... What have you experienced there?
no subject
[ so to say... Anyway ]
no subject
[ The way forward... That declaration alone makes Don Quixote an unusual individual.
As for the bank and memories triggered, it's enough to be aware of the possibility of witnessing strange occurrences in this place. ]
Now, since you've answered my questions, do you have any requests in return?
no subject
What is thy favored pastime? Have thee a story close to thy heart? A dream yearned -- nay, destined to turn reality? Would thee consider thyself close to Sir Roland or Mistress Gebura? What is thy stance on justice? What is thine opinion on bouncy castles, and do thee think this party would have been even better with one? What food do thee like to partake in most of all?
[ ...
a lot!!!! ]
no subject
...I practice yoga in my spare time. While I enjoy reading, it's primarily for the sake of learning. If you have recommendations to retell, I am open to listening. I have a dream that I wish to see fulfilled, yes... It would be inaccurate to describe myself as close to Roland or Gebura, but Gebura and I have worked together for some time now. Justice... is a concept that different people may define in different ways. One must take care not to allow personal biases to influence that definition.
[ Bouncy castles... Hm. That seems specific. ]
Could you elaborate on your vision concerning bouncy castles? Lastly, I am fond of eggplants.
no subject
They are fun and bouncy, and I should have liked one if I had not thought it a shame that it may cause those under the sweetened spell of a few drinks too many -- myself included -- to bounce off the rooftop and splatter onto the streets below. The one at another party that was held had horses printed on its form, and I was most pleased by this, for I do adore the steed.
[ bouncy... one day. ]
Do thee like eggplants because they share thy color?
no subject
[ It's all too easy to imagine the described consequences of a bouncy surface used recklessly on a rooftop. It's also likely that no one feels that the party is missing a vital element without the inclusion of a bouncy castle. ]
With regard to eggplants, yes, the color is pleasing, as is the taste. They are reasonably versatile.
no subject
I haven't had them before. What is thine opinion on... potatoes?
[ she's trying not to bias him with her own distaste. ]
no subject
If you are interested in eggplant dishes, I may be able to prepare one for you.
[ As he adjusts to actually needing to eat and sleep again... ]
Potatoes also have their uses, but I presume you prefer to avoid them?
no subject
I do! I much dislike them, though my roommate is fond enough. I... would like to find a way to eat them, for his sake.
[ ugh. the one thing she doesn't like, when she'll consume disgusting trash crab. she does like cutting them though. ]
I would like to try thy dish though, for I am eager for new experiences.
no subject
[ He may have enough skill to introduce Don to eggplants, but is he equipped to provide a better experience eating potatoes? Roland comes to mind instead. ]
Do you dislike the taste or the texture of potatoes?
[ Perhaps Don Quixote could eat them, as long as they are mixed with other ingredients — unless that strikes her as cowardly. ]
no subject
[ ... well, there's a taste, but it's not-- it's not exactly a taste. they're bland. once you eat enough of them you just sort of tire, too. ]
That is mostly it, perhaps. They may be versatile, in thy words, but what do they add to a dish?! Nothing! Nothing, but perhaps a floating bit of texture! A little lump! I rather like to handle them, for they are easy to cut into adorable shapes, but I would rather them have some sort of flavoring... such a one note existence makes them a rather boring ingredient to use, does it not?
no subject
Another colleague of mine is partial to them. [ And said colleague can't be described as bland at all... ] If she were here, she might have some input to offer. But what about Roland? Have you asked him for suggestions?
no subject
[ ... ]
Besides my previously mentioned, and admittedly recent, desire to stand them, just a little, for my friend.
[ is this, perhaps, another hoop... will roland make fun of her... whatever. it's a shame sinclair can't enjoy things he might just because he's being considerate of her; she ought to be a little considerate back, maybe. ]
I shall ask our resident food-lover for advice as well. Does he often cook for all of thee?
no subject
It seems to be an area of interest for him. No doubt most of my colleagues have experienced it a number of times.
[ But not all of them — Hokma and Binah, for example — and Roland seems to get along with some more than others. ]
Gebura and Netzach may have more to tell you, as they have spent time with Roland in a relatively casual setting.
[ The Floor of Art... with the floor littered with cans... ]
