It's distressing how pleased he is when he sees another person, but that's how the day seems to be turning out for Balthier. He's been keeping himself largely on the move, but it's a demoralizing sort of circumstance. There have been so few he's run into here, the whole of this damned city haunting in its lack of citizenry and the excess of eerily convenient amenities.
The man's accent sounds familiar-foreign all at once, closer to that of an Imperial than some he's spoken to, but distinctly not. Quite fine, really, Balthier has never been one for homesickness. He'll take what company he can get right then, for all he's careful to hide his wariness. Never good to trust, not too quick.
"Damn near no one most anyplace," he agrees easily, taking care to sound casual as he makes his way over to the bar. "A double, would you, friend?"
