[Connor does have a good point, and Fumikage can appreciate his willingness to open up. People can change, and goodness can overcome the darkness. That's what he wants to strive for one day; a hero who uses the darkness to fight for the light.]

[Before he can explain any of that, Fumikage braces himself for the shocked outburst from Connor. His eyes catch that spinning red circle on the man's forehead, and how it flickers from red to yellow. He wonders what that means, but he can ask later; right now he needs to calm the other man down.]

This is Dark Shadow. Do not be afraid; he will not hurt you. In my world, it is common for humans to develop supernatural abilities. We call them Quirks. Dark Shadow is my Quirk; he is a sentient shadow who originates from within my body.

[Under any other circumstance, Dark Shadow might move forward to shake Connor's hand or something, but Fumikage keeps the shadow at bay; he's clearly surprised enough.]
