[To be fair Izuku absolutely tries to do his best to save himself. In normal circumstances, this sort of fall would be nothing for Izuku. But as he tries to extend a black whip to attach to a building to catch himself it only seems to fizzle out in a puff of black smoke and nothingness. It catches Izuku compeltely off guard.

What is wrong with his quirks? What is this sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach because of it...?

[Whump!! The landing in the boy's arms is rough and awkward. They come clattering down onto the hard cement of the road and tumble down roughly so that Izuku also gets banged around. But it's better than breaking an arm or a leg... He winces painfully but he quickly tries to regain his senses. He clamours off the other boy and grab's his shoulder.]

You caught me...! You didn't need to do that- Are you okay? ...I'm sorry. I don't usually struggle with something like this. Does it hurt? Are you hurt?
