What a novel idea. “Being liked for oneself. I am unsure I have ever truly experienced that before.” Mostly no one pretended to like Loki, even when he had high stature and money on Asgard. Or at least, Thor’s friends did not pretend to do so. They merely put up with him because he was Thor’s brother. In some ways he thought maybe his brother liked him for him, but he knew mostly his antics annoyed him. Frigga had loved him, he was sure of that, and sometimes she was even amused by his tricks and jokes. But someone just liking him for him? Not because he was a prince, or rich, or might be able to get them close to Thor? No, he didn’t think so.

“And you found that with your gang? Tell me, what was it like?”
