Themis does not notice Erich looking elsewhere, at him, when he says those words. He assumes he means the apartment.

Turning, he grins up at those red eyes, giving his friend's hand a squeeze. "It truly is, is it not?" tugging Erich into the building proper. He takes the lead, peeking into doors, slowly maneuvering up the too-small stairs. "Perhaps if we were smaller, at any rate. These do not seem built for those with our stature."

Even Themis has to stoop slightly. Then he frowns, concentrating. If he can... yes, he believes he can. A brief use of magic, and they suddenly seem to fit the general size of the space now! He takes a moment after to take a breath, that small exertion taking far more from him than he is used to.
