Open/catch-all for November/December

WHO: Dorian Gray ([personal profile] playing_human) & you

WHAT: Open post/catch-all

WHERE: Places

WHEN: Times

WARNINGS: Blood and the acute aftermath of psychological trauma in the "Laundromat" prompt. Will mark any threads where his reprogramming is brought up.

Laundromat | November 29, Evening | Is it meant to make your insides ache?

Early in the evening, a young(-looking) man has one of the machines going while he stands at the industrial sink, scrubbing feverishly at a set of trousers, the cuffs of his sleeves drenched with soapy water. Something might seem tense and subdued about him, and it's entirely possible it isn't marinara sauce he's scrubbing off those trousers.

Later that same evening, he stands at a still, quiet washing machine with the dial pointing at "OFF," staring into space. When the door opens, he startles and appears to come back to himself, blinking at the machine before opening it and digging out his wet laundry.

Media Store | November 30, Afternoon | Meant to make your chest go tight?

He's feeling better today. Not all better, but definitely better. Well enough that he's taken a train to the media store and is fully expecting to spend the afternoon here now that he's seen what it's like.

First things first, he's found both a record player and a tape deck/CD player. Now, he's losing the remaining daylight hours listening to any album he could possibly be interested in bringing home. After trying a number of new genres, he's fallen most in love with glam rock and metal and been thoroughly confused by a single apparently about a dead horse and 5000 candles in the wind. His cart is piling up with too much stuff for him to manage without rolling away with the cart itself, but he doesn't seem to care. There's finally music for him to listen to.

All About Town | Meant to make you sweat and shake?

In the early days of December, Dorian can be found about town with his phone and a stylus, surveying buildings and making marks on a digital copy of the city map. He's rarely out for very long at a time before he seems to get tired, but he's out every day. After a rough end of November, he's more or less himself again.
