WHO:Loki Odinson (
abit_ofboth) & Hob Gadling (
100more)
WHAT: Decorating Loki’s apartment
WHERE: Loki’s apartment
WHEN: Mid- November
WARNINGS: Shouldn’t be. I’m expecting all innocence and light! (But will edit if that changes)
This is not a feeling Loki is used to, not like this anyway, but as the morning stretches out before him he can no longer deny that he’s nervous. And this isn’t even a proper date! This is just a previous plan, something decided when they first became friends. It shouldn’t be such a big deal. But somehow it is.
It will be fine, better than fine. Or at least that’s what he’s telling himself. It had been so wonderful the night of the party, had eased his mind after everything that had happened earlier that night, but now Loki is sober and has had time to think about all the ways he could mess this up. More than anything in the world, he doesn’t want to mess anything up with Hob.
Finally, after changing his outfit about twelve times - what does one wear to paint an apartment? - he’s finally settled on some comfortable black slacks and a green knit sweater. He knows he’s being ridiculous, but he can’t seem to help himself. As he checks himself in the mirror in the bathroom again, he hears a knock at the door.
Well, this outfit will have to do then, he thinks to himself as he forces himself to smile, not wanting Hob to know how nervous he is. Loki walks to the door and throws it open, grinning almost maniacally. “Welcome!”
