[ Out here, those shadows at the corner of her vision seem to return, casting her gaze to the side whenever she thinks she spots someone else. That much she should expect, but the appearance of the mirrors is something to bunch up her nerves as they continue on. Every muscle has tensed, poised in preparation to react. Her discontent with them isn't only for her self-loathing, though it's certainly a factor, but for the other enemies she near expects to come creeping out. The Nightcomers were supposed to be gone, but she hadn't seen their undoing herself. For a time, she had thought them responsible for this city.

Their own reflections are all that greet her, which would still unsettle her if the sights of other beings weren't utterly captivating her. It takes a few extra steps for her to understand what she might be seeing. She had always wondered, but why would she be seeing this? For whatever reason, she appreciates the sight of the alien creature that shifts with each new step as he walks with her. Is the wonder of it comforting?

Nearing a corner, Vanessa is about to ask something when they pass a mirror and the reflection of her clad in green and gold remains behind, watching them continue on with a blood-red gleam in its eyes. With a silent gasp, Vanessa whirls back around to check the mirror, but the vision is gone.

No, she doesn't like mirrors at all. If only she knew of how much worse it could be just around the corner. Whatever may appear as an exit there is only a doorway to one more haunting. ]
