( Louis listens with the patient concern of someone listening to the recollection of a bad dream. He can't very well picture what Lestat is describing, it's too outlandish a thing to imagine happening to anyone, much less Armand, but he can tell Lestat was shaken by the experience, and that alone troubles him. )

How strange to think I escaped relatively unscathed.

( His voice is soft, musing; he's trying not to let himself think of why, or to feel guilt for it, or shame that such a small wound had been enough to cripple him. )

I'm certain he will. He's fortunate that you were there.
