[ Kim winces. He had experienced a little taste of that, not too long ago. He didn't enjoy it. But that familiarity is enough for him to grant the other man the luxury of not talking about it; Kim sure as hell didn't want to speak of it, and certainly not with a stranger. It's not his business. ]

Only when I can sucker punch the other guy, [ he says wryly. ] Hitting someone from behind does wonders for one's nerve.

[ It's not even an accurate joke - Kim isn't an experienced fighter, but he's certainly been in a few shoot-outs in his life - but he figures the other man could use a moment's levity right about now. ]
