Whoa. That is not the response Eddie expects to hear. Although the memory from the pool is a little bit fuzzy, he kind of remembers a much more positive experience. Does Loki not remember him? Or maybe he doesn't recognize him with the costume! It's not like he's wearing a mask, but he's wearing a bandana around his hair.

"Your lands? That's a good one, man; I didn't know you ruled over the haunted house." Eddie tries for humor. He vaguely remembers bonding over something like that. While he speaks, though, he looks around for something, anything to grab, just in case he isn't quite as convincing as he hopes.

"Listen, dude, I'm just trying to get through this place in one piece, so if you'll just let me go..." It's worth a shot. He knows he isn't great at fighting, and his best chance is running, but of course, the path to the exit would inevitably take him past Loki. He's going to have to get past him one way or another.
