It was a recent career change, but so far, I can't I regret it. I've met my squad, I approve of our ethos, and most importantly, I can wear what I like, so long as it fits under code and we aren't undertaking anything of dire peril.

That said, I haven't much combat experience, so active combat is a rarity for my squad. We're civilian combatants, a reserve ops team. Operations of great prescience go to the senior or veteran rank. They're the ones who see more of what one might imagine when one thinks of a proper military sortie.
