Ah, it was happiness to see her so taken with it. Her interest in learning their meanings fell to her fickle nature, like so many other interests she had, however. Soon utilised, as with all else, to becoming another weapon in her arsenal.

[ He won't forget the beautiful petunia arrangements she'd filled the house with after one of their fights, and in a tender moment he'd thought a move on her part toward reconciliation and forgiveness, Louis had enlightened him to their meaning; anger, resentment, distaste. How pleased she'd been to see his face fall.

He seems a little distant - he hasn't thought of those moments, or her, in some time - but he soon shakes it loose to look back to Midnight. ]


Happiness is never far away if you've the drive to seek it out, and the resilience to believe it persists even in times of darkness. Hell knows I've seen enough darkness for one lifetime, and yet I've still been gifted with a second chance here. Despite the more obtuse dangers that lie in wait.

[ He shrugs, then sets to arranging the little sashes on the back of some nearby chairs. ]
