And how big is the chance that he'd wander around in that nightmare, spot one of the most important names to him on a gravestone, and then immediately meet someone helpful after? Do coincidences like that exist?

After staring for a moment, Daniel writes something out again. ]
I saw the name of my mentor on that grave over there. But he can't have been here.
[ Daniel seems to look a little faint - perhaps lightheaded, perhaps injured, going by how he's looking right now - and moves to lean against a nearby small wall to keep himself from toppling over. He's been able to walk around, at least, but it hasn't been easy.
He presses something on the phone, making it read out the message with a robotic tone, so he doesn't have to hold the screen out towards Xichen this time. ]
I don't even know what is going on anymore.
