WHO: kaveh (
fussiest) & y'all!
WHAT: this is a perpetual catch-all for kaveh because i'm too lazy to make a new one every month. this is for closed starters, tag-ins, visits to kaveh's workshop and the like! be wild! be bold! be free!
WHERE: all around the city, and especially at kaveh's workshop, the pairidaeza architectural design studio in district 1
WHEN: everywhere! everywhen! all at once!
WARNINGS: bickering, probably - everything else will be warned for on a thread-by-thread basis

It means that he's perfectly fine with the boy staying quiet, even if it's just to let Daniel have to handle the more.. ridiculous aspects of this...
And this ridiculous aspect sure seems to catch the man by surprise. His eyes visibly widen as he hears Kaveh's suggestion. ]
.. like conveyer belt sushi?
[ At least it's not unheard of
to this local weeb. Does that make it a good idea though?Probably not, judging by Daniel's instinctive reaction, though he quickly forces it to soften a little. He wants to make sure to let Kaveh down gently, especially when the guy is doing so much thinking and work for them already. ]
I.. was thinking we might want to keep things a little more simple than that. [ Smooth. ] Considering we mainly want to welcome new people here, I'd like for the space to not be too overwhelming, you know? The kind of place you can walk into and have a good overview of everything in it right away.

in a place with an economy, how would one know which ones they had to charge for and which ones the customers took? things to think about, but kaveh isn't an architect used to handling odd requests - and being a little odd himself - without precedence: kaveh observes the careful wending of daniel's words, and smiles for it. daniel is a kind man, through and through. and robby has a bit of mischief to him after all. ]
It's alright. I've pitched that idea to two other establishments already, and neither of them wanted to take me up on it. I wonder why. [ but the curl of kaveh's lips, impish int he making, says exactly what he really thinks about it, ] But alright, I'll stop jesting. No conveyor belts, I promise. Though I do ask that the two of you think about the amount of walkway you would like your servers and customers to traverse. Too much of it, and the restaurant model will lack the coziness that perhaps you are going for.

We can work around more space than less. Around here-- [ he gestures to the large windows, closer to where the door entering is. ] It'd be cool to have a place where people can sit on sofas. You know-- if people are just coming in and wanna take a moment, or have a drink. We can have tables too, but coffee tables?
[ He looks between the pair, Mister LaRusso and Kaveh. ]

At least he won't have to wonder who the owner is in case some sort of conveyor belt sushi place opens up in the city.
His thoughts easily drift back to more productive matters though, glancing about as both Kaveh and Robby point out some things. There's definitely an approving nod at Robby's contribution. ]
Yeah, we definitely won't need the entire place to just be places where you sit down for food. The welcoming aspect of it is more important than the diner part, really. [ Daniel just can't resist cooking for people, that's more where the latter comes in. ] Like Robby is saying, we can definitely dedicate a part of it just to a space for people to sit down even without food, that narrows the scope of the actual dining space we'd need.
[ He gestures towards the door. ]
Not to mention we'd probably want to keep the entrance clear of tables or other things so people can easily wander in.
[ Daniel especially looks at Kaveh when he finishes. Are you picking up what they're putting down, pal? ]
