but when he really thinks about it—
all heine has spent his whole life doing is surviving just to die, and he's not entirely sure that that's what he wants to keep doing forever. but all of that's a long story and not at all one he's sure midnight cares to hear, so he just closes his hands into loose fists and looks over at midnight instead. ]
