Kitsuragi. I'm fourty-three years old, by the way, which is over half of an average human man's lifespan. People generally consider themselves lucky if they live to see eighty.

[ Well, some people consider themselves lucky if they live shorter lives than that, but Kim doesn't feel as though it will be useful to tell Muriel the myriad of ways lifespans are lengthened or shortened depending on race, economic status, and access to health care. One thing at a time, right? ]

After six months of absence, most search-and-rescue campaigns are called off, and the missing person is declared dead. So... for my world specifically, it's not an eventuality I'm depending upon.
