[She isn't disappointed by his answer; honestly, it's sort of what she expected. It's something too weird to not explain immediately. But it does make her a little more nervous about this place, if for a different reason. It looks like there were people here once--so where did they go? Why is it empty now?

"Nowhere that's dangerous" sounds too good to be true, but that isn't something Heine would lie to her about. A little bud of hope forms in her chest, and it grows when he says the people are decent. Maybe this isn't so bad, despite how creepy it is so far.

Her head swivels again as they walk, and then she remember about her phone. She pulls it from the pocket of her skirt, and holds it out for him to see. She's never had one before, and still isn't entirely sure how to use it, but it's better than nothing. She pulls it back, and types out a short message:]


there are trees

[She has priorities.]
