[Laffey was in an exploratory mood at the moment. Mostly due to her having just arrived. The place is creepy and seemed to lack nearly all forms of life. Or habitation by its former occupants.
All of which screamed "this is a horror movie".
But honestly, to Laffey, the only real horrors present so far, is the lack of a decent place to sleep. And the fact she doesn't have her alcohol- her secret, special coolant, stash with her. Such a tragedy!]
