A smaller knife would be better, actually. Kitchen knife would be too clumsy for that. I've heard of other doctors getting inventive in an emergency situation, so I'm thinking of other things in case I have to do the same. It'd still be a shit time for the patient without any anesthetic, but if they could tough it through then we can probably manage.
