it's that pale boy again. roland can only cast him a flat look as he walks over to tsurumaru, the chilly night air combing through his hair. ]
What's real?
[ great, more cryptic talk. angela would've hated this guy. ]

(He leans over the rail, practically hanging over it but still keeping his balance.)
It looks like the one back home. The same cold light, the back we can't see...
(He sounds a little wistful.)
And the same sea.
(Yeah. The moon has a sea.)

Yeah, uh. I still don't get it. Care to elaborate?
[ SORRY TSURU HE HATES BEATING AROUND THE BUSH... ]

(He says like its totally obvious. There's no doubt at all that there is a sea there.)
Someone told me about it a long time ago. It's called the Sea of Tranquility. It's completely silent and when you walk along the shore... your footsteps never disappear.
(And then he laughs,)
Sorry, sorry. I suppose I'm feeling a little nostalgic!

[ although this time, roland doesn't quickly dismiss tsurumaru's ramblings. he walks closing to the railing and looks up at the moon. it's so far away. ]
Nostalgic? You been to the sea before, then?
no subject
(Not the sea in particular.)
It was much louder... and if you went there today, you would never know who had been there before.
(Wistfully, sighing,)
Imagine erasing thousands of lives. In the end, they just become a number.

well, now this topic has taken quite the turn. one that hits homes, too. roland purses his lips together, thinking of how he should navigate this. ]
No, sorry, I still don't get it.
[ REALLY SMOOTH, ROLAND. this is exactly why he doesn't like fluffy dialogue like this at all. even binah was easier to talk to, but only because she already kinda knew who roland is. ]
But yeah, all those human lives going down the drain. Like, at sea? Did someone drown? Come on, you've got to throw me a bone here... [ help ]
